    Time:80'
    • South Africa
    • England
    • 80+3' FULL TIME: England had a sniff of a win, but had to settle for the draw. It's a step forward from the two narrow defeats that preceded it, though it wasn't a beautiful contest. England will fly home on a more positive note.
    • 80+2' Farrell gets the ball and shimmies left for a few metres more territory - at the second attempt he takes on the kick... he mishits it! A grubber at just the wrong time, and this game ends in a draw!
    • 80+1' Farrell not looking for a drop goal yet, he's not close enough. Tuilagi pounds through to gain a few metres...
    • 80' Seven phases, then eight, and nine, as the forwards batter through for one final effort. The klaxon sounds. We play on.
    • 79' England enter the last minute of the match in the Springbok half. Can they set up a penalty or drop goal chance? A thrilling final minute ahead.
    • 78' Steyn waiting in the pocket, as the forwards power on. They take too long setting it, and give away a penalty! England will escape upfield!
    • 77' Waldrom takes a catch, but from just outside the 22 - Walsh spots it, and South Africa are in the ascendancy. This is a platform for the men in green.
    • 76' Kruger replaces du Plessis - will the crowd rally behind the Springboks in these dying moments? They've really turned against Steyn here.
    • 76' Steyn gets the ball, tries a drop goal, misses - and the crowd do not like that one bit.
    • 75' The game is nearing its end with South Africa on the front foot. They are going through the phases.
    • 74' Foden calls for a mark after a poor kick from Steyn. It's just not happened for the Bulls' fly-half tonight.
    • 73' Big catch from Waldrom! South Africa had punted the ball forward and Aplon was within a whisker of taking it!
    • 72' SA 14-14 ENGLAND! LEVEL! Farrell kicks from under the posts when Steyn intercepts a pass.
    • 71' England have the advantage here, and they can push for the try knowing they're coming back for a penalty over the posts!
    • 70' England scrum inside the 22 - a big moment to start the final 10 minutes.
    • 69' 11 phases this move, and counting - Tuilagi breaks England into the 22 with dancing feet and relentless power.
    • 68' A spell of pressure from the visitors. They're on the 22, probing left and right, looking for a way through. Probing, but the Boks defence too good for now.
    • 67' England managed a rousing finish against South Africa last week - but on that occasion the game was already lost. If they can replicate it today, it would bring them victory.
    • 66' Botha replaces Palmer, Dowson on for Johnson. England shuffling the pack in hope of one final push.
    • 65' Palmer pinches the ball to ease the pressure on England, but Farrell's low kick forward troubles nobody. A little bit of luck, however, as after a couple more kicks are exchanged, Pietersen loses the ball in the air and knocks on.
    • 64' Barritt comes on for Joseph, while Parling is punished in the maul as South Africa drive England back.
    • 63' SA do not add to their score because Steyn swings the conversion just left of the post. Still a three-point game, then. Strauss replaces du Plessis.
    • 62' TRY! SA 14-11 ENGLAND! It was one powerful surge too many - South Africa drove towards the line through to Kankowski, and from there, the try seemed only to be a matter of time. In the end it came when Pienaar passed to Pietersen.
    • 61' Hartley back on and England under huge pressure here as South Africa bundle towards the try line!
    • 60' Cole penalised for holding on, but unlucky that Coetzee's momentary concentration lapse doesn't cost him.
    • 59' Hartley reeady to come on but there's a little while to wait yet. England try to run the ball out of their 22, before Farrell puts the boot through it.
    • 58' Isn't this match supposed to be a dead rubber? It's being played at an understandably ferocious intensity.
    • 57' Foden tries to run the ball and play in Goode - but there's a knock-on, and the momentum is lost. He might have had quite an opportunity if only he could have held on.
    • 56' Care with the put-in at an England scrum - England now almost halfway through their period with 14 men. Still more time to negotiate, but the scrum collapsing twice is helping.
    • 55' Van der Merwe replaces Etzebeth, Kankowski on for Potgieter. England now swap Mears on for Johnson so they have a hooker at lineout time.
    • 54' Foden does well to deal with a kick towards the corner, but despite his best efforts, he is smashed out to touch by the two of the Springbok front row.
    • 53' Tom Palmer is now the captain, apparently. Hartley off - Flood, his vice, injured.
    • 52' YELLOW! Dylan Hartley - hands in the ruck. Walsh has warned England enough, and the skipper is going to the sin bin. That's not smart captaincy.
    • 51' Pienaar replaces Hougaard - and Pienaar is a kicker. Will be very interesting to see whether he gets the chance to take them.
    • 50' HE'S MISSED IT! Horrible effort from the man who's got a reputation as one of the game's very best kickers.
    • 49' Well, another England transgresssion and South Africa have another penalty - this time from much, much closer. That should be a simple three points for Steyn, who's 3 from 4 tongiht with the boot.
    • 48' Steyn declines the penalty and kicks for the corner - perhaps a reflection on the swirling wind, or on his confidence?
    • 47' Penalty for South Africa after Cole came round on the wrong side. There'd been a moment of sloppiness too in the scrum as Care and Waldrom failed to communicate.
    • 46' England switching to more of a kicking game here, and looking to match South Africa with their physicality. Early success.
    • 45' SA 9-11 ENGLAND! Farrell knocks over the penalty from 25m - and England are back ahead!
    • 44' ASHTON! Huge tackle on Aplon as the full-back caught the ball - he's won his side a penalty with it.
    • 43' Warning shots again from South Africa - Spies almost released by Olivier, and only the desperate tacke of Foden carries him out into touch.
    • 42' Terrific play from Goode - he controls the ball superbly to stop Steyn's kick for the corner going out. He had very little space to work in.
    • 41' The second half begins! South Africa kick us off!
    • 40' HALF TIME! South Africa don't waste their time kicking the ball out into touch. Both teams need to reassess with everything to play for in the second half.
    • 39' Quick lineout from du Plessis, then a high ball from Steyn. Goode catches it, and calls for a mark. He hits it forward well.
    • 38' England's defence deserve credit for coming out of this period of pressure largely unscathed. But there's still a chance for the Boks to extend their advantage before the break.
    • 37' The boot forward from Farrell almost finds Goode, who gives willing chase! Aplon takes no chances and punts the ball out of play.
    • 36' Big tackle as South Africa go to the backs and Tuilagi takes down Pietersen! Forces the error as Hougaard throws quickly to Etzebeth and after a fumble England are back in possession and away.
    • 35' The Boks are close - very close. The two du Plessis' driving forward, going through the phases, just a metre or two from the line.
    • 34' Finally the blood bin change is reversed and Farrell comes back on. Now a scrum on the 22 with South Africa on the attack.
    • 33' DRAMA! Long pass left to de Villiers very nearly intercepted, but as Waldrom misses out on it, suddenly it opens up for the Springbok captain! Good ground for the men in green, but no try.
    • 32' Goode being targeted - and given it's his first Test start, it's a natural position to test out. Looks like Farrell is almost ready to return.
    • 31' Still the South Africans come at their opponents. Are England now thinking about the interval?
    • 30' South Africa started slow, but they're in control of the game at the moment. But just as Potgieter and co move forward, Jannie du Plessis' error gives England temporary respite with a scrum.
    • 29' Farrell in the blood bin after a nasty cut, Barritt on as a replacement. No quarter offered in this bruising encounter.
    • 28' SA 9-8 ENGLAND! The home side ahead for the first time in the game - and the reliable kicking of Morne Steyn has taken them there.
    • 27' South Africa pile it on again after Aplon catches out Care - debutant Potgieter almost breaks the line, but ferocious England tackling the only thing holding the Boks back. Penalty given away, however, and big points chance for the home side.
    • 26' South Africa's chargedown - superb job from Care, though, who tidies up the mess.
    • 25' Waldrom steps up with a burst taking England to halfway before the man known as The Beast, Mtawarira, brings him down.
    • 24' Marler does well for England - huge pressure from him and Johnson after the tackle on Pietersen, and the penalty for not releasing the ball follows. England off the hook.
    • 23' Olivier bulldozes through the middle and South Africa are beginning to go through the gears here. Six phases and counting.
    • 22' A bit of a pause in play before the scrum - is this a chance for England to take stock?
    • 22' England had a superb start, but they're losing their way a little bit. Olivier pressures Goode, who does well to claim the high ball. Then Haskell fumbles a simple pass.
    • 21' Self-inflicted damage for England after a speculative chip kick from Farrell. Then a penalty for the Boks 10m inside the England half. That's within Steyn's range.
    • 20' The move doesn't come off - South Africa work their way out of trouble. They're up to halfway in no time at all.
    • 19' How's this for intent? England kick for the corner.
    • 18' Advantage for England signalled - Owen Farrell tries a drop goal - unsuccessfully - but we come back for the penalty after Pietersen came in from the side.
    • 17' Messy kick from Hougaard, and that leads to an England scrum. Chance here - England have shown plenty of intent in these situations.
    • 16' SA 6-8 ENGLAND! Steyn puts his second penalty of the afternoon away and South Africa close to two points.
    • 15' Palmer penalised for slowing the ball down after a tackle, and South Africa have a chance to reduce the arrears.
    • 14' Farrell replaces Flood, and that will force a little adjustment from the tourists.
    • 13' Flood misses the kick, and with it his involvement in the game looks to be over.
    • 12' Big moment in this game for Care, who scores his fourth try for his country.
    • 11' TRY! SA 3-8 ENGLAND! DANNY CARE SCORES! Great play from England, who get moving from a Palmer chargedown to a Steyn kick - and Care shimmies his way through to the line.
    • 9' Scrum to South Africa, and they drive hard in the coastal rain and take possession.
    • 8' England surging forward, but they must watch Habana, because he very nearly picks off a pass from Flood.
    • 7' SA 3-3 ENGLAND! Did you ever doubt him? Morne Steyn slots the ball over the posts with precision. All square.
    • 6' Good play from the Springboks, with Spies stealing a lineout and Habana chasing down a box kick. He's held up unfairly and that gives Morne Steyn a penalty chance.
    • 6' Chance missed - Flood doesn't look comfortable at all, and England could be forced into an early change.
    • 5' Alex Goode sends up a high ball, and Aplon knocks on. Sloppy stuff from the Boks. Flood to kick, but looks lik ehe's hurt his ankle or knee in a challenge in that play and he's wincing a bit here.
    • 4' Turnover for England, and Dan Cole carries forward. England impressing in these early exchanges.
    • 3' SA 0-3 ENGLAND! Flood straight in front of the posts and from inside the 22 - easy. England lead!
    • 2' Early scrum for England in the Springbok half, and Care releases Tuilagi. Powerful run , and it soon leads to a very kickable penalty. Great start for the visitors.
    • 1' Steve Walsh, today's referee, says it's time to begin, and England kick off!
    • 16:00 The players are on the field for the national anthems.
    • 15:55 England make five changes from the second Test - Marler would have been the sixth, but Corbisiero's injury brought him back into the reckoning once more. It's a big opportunity for Care and Waldrom. For South Africa there are three changes, with Potgieter making his debut at loose forward.
