  1. - - TSONGA 6-3 6-2 - GAME, SET & MATCH - A vicious backhand across court from Tsonga is impressively returned by Baker, despite catching the top of the tape, but the damage is done and Tsonga wraps up the match with a hold to 30. No surprise in that in that result but Baker equipped himself well and will break into the top 200 as a result of reaching the second round at Queen's this year

  2. - - TSONGA 6-3 5-2 - All credit to Baker as he posts a love service hold to force Tsonga to serve out the match, the Frenchman first sending a lob long before also sending a forehand return of serve long across court. But Tsonga will serve for the match after the change of ends

  3. - - TSONGA 6-3 5-1 - Another love game from Tsonga as he bangs down an ace to seal the hold. Baker will have to serve to stay in this match next ...

  4. - - TSONGA 6-3 4-1 - BREAK - It's all over now as Tsonga threads a sliced backhand passing shot down the line past a slow-approaching Baker. The Frenchman just two games away from the third round as he leads by a set and a double break

  5. - - TSONGA 6-3 3-1 - Tsonga charges through a love service hold, sealing it with a typical heavy service hold and forehand winner combo, to consolidate the break

  6. - - TSONGA 6-3 2-1 - BREAK - Baker gets a little unlucky as an attempted forehand down the line catches the top of the tape and bounces back on to his side of the net. It hands Tsonga a break point ... and the Frenchman leaps at the chance, pushing Baker deep and forcing the forehand into the bottom of the net. Tsonga firmly in control now

  7. - - TSONGA 6-3 1-1 - A huge forehand down the line does the damage for Baker as he goes on to earn himself a break point when Tsonga sends a stretched backhand into the net. But an ace followed by a couple of unreturnable serves from the Frenchman not only gets him out of trouble but also sees him go on to hold

  8. - - TSONGA 6-3 0-1 - Tsonga just has more time on the ball, simply being a better player than Baker, as he levels up at deuce with a backhand down the line that the British wildcard can only return into the net. But Baker goes on to hold, setting up a game point with a cross court forehand volley winner before sealing the game with another cross court forehand winner, this time from the baseline

  9. - - TSONGA 6-3 - SET - Superb tennis from Tsonga now, he is really starting to motor. Another solid first serve followed by an equally solid forehand winner and he has the first set with just 25 minutes on the clock

  10. - - TSONGA 5-3 - BREAK - Baker mis-reads a forehand from Tsonga straight down the centre of the court and it brings up two break points for the Frenchman. He only needs the one though as he finds another cracking forehand that Baker cannot return and Tsonga will now serve for this opening set

  11. - - TSONGA 4-3 - Tsonga lifts his level almost imperceptibly as he belts out a service hold of his own to sneka ahead once again, banging down a heavy first serve before working up the court to bury an easy smash for a winner to seal the game

  12. - - TSONGA 3-3 - A love service hold from Baker sees him level up once again. Baker is ranked a whopping 198 places lower than Tsonga but so far today he is making light of that difference and is sticking with the Frenchman shot-for-shot. You've got to imagine that will soon change but the first six games have been anything but embarassing for the Brit

  13. - - TSONGA 3-2 - The Frenchman opens by easily getting up to a good drop shot from Baker and dinking it across court for an angled backhand winner, before going on to hold to love with a huge serve that the Brit can do nothing with

  14. - - TSONGA 2-2 - So far, so impressive on serve from Baker as Tsonga struggles with the kick when the Brit gets his placement right and sends a return into the net to help Baker hold to 15 once again

  15. - - TSONGA 2-1 - Baker pushes Tsonga to deuce before a forehand into the net followed by a forehand well long of the baseline help the Frenchman to hold without having to face a break point. Fair play to the Brit though as he has come into this match very relaxed and ready to hit out

  16. - - TSONGA 1-1 - A very good opening hold from Baker as well as he allows Tsonga just the one point, the Frenchman riffling a running forehand passing shot winner down the line for that one point

  17. - - TSONGA 1-0 - A straightforward start from Tsonga as he opens with a solid service hold. These two have only met the once before, unsurprisingly, in a challenger way back in 2007 when Tsonga made light work of it and won for the loss of just five games

  18. - - Phew! After that excitement, we have last year's beaten finalist (and this year's second seed) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga already out on court and warming up against Brit Jamie Baker
