  1. - - Next up for Murray will most likely be Joao Sousa, the Portuguese player currently leading Aussie John-Patrick Smith by two sets to love and also by a break. Full men's drawsheet

  2. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 6-3 - GAME, SET & MATCH! Haase's first double of the match hands Murray three match points. Only one is needed though and Murray books his place in the second round when the Dutchman fails to cope with a forehand drive volley and sends his response long

  3. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 5-3 - A cross court drop shot from Haase gives Murray heaps of time to get up to the net and play the forehand winner down the line. And a huge forehand on the next point draws the error from the Dutchman that sees Murray hold and leave his opponent serving to stay in the match

  4. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 4-3 - A love service game from Haase as Murray sends a return of serve sailing long of the baseline. Suddenly there's a different complexion to this third set, although it is all down to Murray. Surely he will lift his level once again to close this out?

  5. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 4-2 - BREAK! A lapse in concentration from Murray, pretty sure Lendl won't be happy about that, as he concedes four straight points to hand Haase the second break back from 30-0 up

  6. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 4-1 - BREAK! Haase's frustration is beginning to boil over now as he yells at himself for missing another fairly easy forehand. But it doesn't make any difference for the Dutchman as Murray goes on to break with a forehand return of serve winner

  7. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 3-1 - Another love service game goes the way of Murray as he works his way up to the net and sends a forehand volley winner over to seal the game

  8. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 2-1 - Much better from Haase as he races through a comfortable service hold to stop the rot and get himself off the mark in this third set

  9. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 2-0 - Murray steps up well inside the baseline to rattle off an inside-out forehand winner across court and with it take his seventh straight game

  10. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 1-0 - BREAK! It's all getting a little wild from Haase now as he quickly finds himself three break points down before Murray steps up and drills a backhand winner down the line to seal the break

  11. - - MURRAY 6-3 6-1 - SET! A very low key game from Murray as he quickly earns himself two set points before firing down a big first serve that Haase fails to return into court. The Scot has a two sets to love lead in double quick time

  12. - - MURRAY 6-3 5-1 - BREAK! Haase fails to land consecutive forehands, the first landing wide and the second finishing up in the bottom of the net. And Murray will serve for this very comfortable second set next

  13. - - MURRAY 6-3 4-1 - The Scot is back playing at the level that saw him reel off five successive games in the first set as he batters down a series of heavy first serves, Haase sending his forehand return long to allow Murray to consolidate the break

  14. - - MURRAY 6-3 3-1 - BREAK! A spectacular topspin forehand lob from Haase denies Murray on a first break point. But he misses what should be a routine forehand volley on the second break point and Murray is stretching his lead once again

  15. - - MURRAY 6-3 2-1 - Murray's level has dropped a bit since 5-2 in the first set and he's playing much further back than then when he was on the baseline. But he's still pretty comfortable and holds to 30 with a forehand winner

  16. - - MURRAY 6-3 1-1 - Haase also posts a love service game to get his second set account underway

  17. - - MURRAY 6-3 1-0 - A quick and easy love service game from Murray, who is clearly enjoying serving from the end with the sun at his back much better than the end with the sun in front of him

  18. - - MURRAY 6-3 - SET! All kinds of errors from Haase in that game as he sends a forehand long to hand Murray two set points. Only one is needed though, the Scot climbing all over a second serve and putting Haase on the defensive right from the start, eventually drawing the error.

  19. - - MURRAY 5-3 - BREAK! Murray slaps down his first double fault of the day before going on to hand Haase another break back chance with a slight lapse in concentration. And a second double does gift the Dutchman one of the breaks back

  20. - - MURRAY 5-2 - Haase does well to stop the run of games against him by holding from deuce when Murray sends a forehand return of serve will long of the baseline. Still the Scot is up two breaks and will serve for the set after the change of ends

  21. - - MURRAY 5-1 - Murray has eons of time to get up to the ball and put away a drop shot only to completely misjudge it and drop his response short of the net. That and a forehand winner from Haase hand the Dutchman two chances to break back. Murray saves them both before Haase sets up another go. An ace comes to Murray's rescue while his forehand saves a fourth and then also a fifth. And eventually he goes on to hold when Haase slices wide

  22. - - MURRAY 4-1 - BREAK! Murray earns himself two more chances to break as he whips a forehand passing shot down the line to wrong-foot Haase. The Dutchman saves the first break point with an ace but he again fails to find the court with a forehand on the second and Murray is in complete control already

  23. - - MURRAY 3-1 - The Scot seems to be spinning in his second serve from the deuce court which suggests he is struggling a little to adjust to the sun today. But he holds nonetheless to consolidate the break with very little trouble

  24. - - MURRAY 2-1 - BREAK! Great shot selection from both players as they test out each others movement in a lengthy baseline rally. It is Murray who comes out on top, however, as he pushes Haase wide of the tramlines - the Dutchman hitting long. The Scot then pounces on a short ball to find a forehand winner and earn two break points. And he gets it on the second when Haase sends a routine forehand volley long

  25. - - MURRAY 1-1 - A couple of early problems with the forehand for Murray but his serving is looking good already as he holds to 30 for his first game of the tournament. That should help settle his nerves and get him into his rhythm

  26. - - MURRAY 0-1- Haase opens up with a love service game - three aces and an unreturnable second serve. The Dutchman does have a tendency to come out firing on all cylinders and that was a pretty impressive start

  27. - - These two are both 25 - born just over a month apart in 1987 - and are both 6'3", although Murray is the heavier/stronger of the two. They have also faced each other twice before with the two picking up one win apeice. Haase won their first clash in Rotterdam back in 2008 before Murray got revenge at the US Open in 2011, albeit needing to go the distance after dropping both of the first two sets

  28. - - So, Murray and Dutchman Haase are due out on court in around five minutes time for their opening clash off the tournament.
