Bear Cub Scales Tree Under Mom's Watchful Eye in South Lake Tahoe

A nature enthusiast captured footage of a bear cub fearlessly climbing a tree in South Lake Tahoe, posting footage of the sighting in early May.

Video captured on a trail camera by Toogee Sielsch shows the cub scoot up a tree as its mom nervously watches on.

“I think this young mom gets a little nervous when her single cub of the year climbs trees,” Sielsch wrote in a post. “The older moms with multiple cubs don’t even pay attention after the first week of tree climbing training.”
