Blowing Dust Obscures Interstate in Western Kansas Amid Severe Thunderstorms

Severe thunderstorms brought high winds to western Kansas on Tuesday, May 9.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of the state, warning residents of hail, high winds, and frequent lightning. Some parts of Kansas were under tornado warnings, according to the NWS.
