G7 spouses inspire Japanese students to aim for peace

STORY: "You show the world that change can happen, that young people can make it happen. The future is not a faraway finish line. We are building it every day. Raise your voice. Hold on to your dreams. And let’s create a better, freer, more peaceful world," First Lady of the United States Jill Biden said.

Yuko Kishida, the wife of Japan's Prime Minister and a native of Hiroshima Prefecture, also made a remark at the symposium, saying she hoped the youngsters are able to "build a new connection between yourself and peace... find a new way to engage with it, and take further steps toward it."

The group later sang a song together, wishing for world peace.
