Kwarteng ‘not bitter’ and remains friends with Truss

Former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has said he remains friends with his old boss Liz Truss, despite her sacking him over the economic fallout caused by his mini-budget last October. Reflecting on that moment, he told Cathy Newman on Channel 4 News “I don’t think she reacted in a particularly calm way.” And asked whether he forgave his former boss, Mr Kwarteng replied: “I’m not angry, I try not to be angry, I try not to be bitter, I think we’ve just got to move forward.”.
