Landspout Tornado Forms in West Kansas

A landspout tornado touched the ground near Lakin, Kansas, on June 4.

Video by Trevor Leeper shows the funnel cloud touching down before dissipating a few moments later.

The National Weather Service said that a landspout tornado was reported in the area. They said landspouts were weak tornadoes, “very difficult if not impossible to see from our weather radar.” Credit: Trevor Leeper via Storyful
