'Let's strive again': Events on Del Paso Boulevard still happening despite recent crime

A north Sacramento community is pushing forward despite recent crime in the area. Over the past week, there have been several incidents along Del Paso Boulevard that led to the Taco Festival being postponed, but those in the community say that’s the opposite of what they need. The organizers of another community event, Malcolm X Fest, said they’re not backing down and the hope is to bring people back to the neighborhood. "We’ve got great things happening on Del Paso Boulevard and we will not allow violence or vandalism or robberies or anything of that nature to stop what’s happening," said Berry Accius.
