Maryland Science Center celebrates awardees

Scientists, an educator and a Baltimore City school student were honored Thursday for their achievements in research and academics. The Maryland Science Center held an awards ceremony to celebrate honorees, including Jazmine Barnes, a senior at Bard High School Early College Baltimore. Barnes was awarded the $2,500 Dr. H. Bentley Glass Scholarship and a paid summer internship at the science center. Barnes told 11 News it was a surreal moment when her counselor told her she won the scholarship.
