Protests at Nebraska State Capitol as Lawmakers Debate Abortion Access, Gender-Affirming Care Bill
Protests took place at Nebraska’s state capitol in Lincoln on Tuesday, May 16, as lawmakers debated a bill that could see abortion in the state restricted to 12 weeks, and gender-affirming care banned for people under the age of 19.
Footage by @SeeingRedNE captured protesters displaying placards at the capitol building.
“Respect my trans homies or I’m going to identify as a f***ing problem,” the placards read. Credit: @SeeingRedNE via Storyful
