Residents Evacuate Flood-Hit Area of Kherson in Darkness

Some 1,700 people had been evacuated from flooded areas along the right bank of the Dnipro River by the early afternoon of June 7, Kherson’s regional governor, Oleksandr Prokudin, said.

Suspilne News cited Prokudin as saying Russian troops were “continuing to fire at residential areas and expose to mortal danger those who are rescuing and escaping from the heavy water.”

According to police, Suspilne said, at least three people were considered missing due to the flooding.
