Thousands Forced to Evacuate as Wildfire Burns in North Halifax

More than 16,000 residents in Canada’s north Halifax were forced to evacuate their homes as out-of-control wildfires continued to burn across the region on Monday, May 29.

Video shared to Twitter by Samina Jhala shows a large wildfire smoke cloud towering over homes in Hammonds Plains, on Sunday, May 27.
