Woman, child rescued from burning Sacramento home, officials say

Multiple structures caught fire Thursday afternoon in the north Sacramento area, putting up a large plume of smoke, officials said. The fire was reported around 2:50 p.m. in the 500 block of El Camino Avenue between Grove Avenue and Del Paso Boulevard. The fire is categorized as second alarm, meaning the amount of fire personnel and resources was increased to help put out the fire.
