BBC Breakfast has seen a significant reshuffle of presenters. On Saturday, May 11, viewers found the morning programme reshuffled. Usually, Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt helm BBC Breakfast from Thursday to Saturday.

But for the latest episode, Naga was back to welcome viewers - however, Charlie was nowhere to be seen. Instead, show regular Ben Thompson had stepped in to co-host to give viewers a rundown of the latest headlines.

This change comes after Naga shared an update on her health last month, talking about feeling pressured to hide the "constant, nagging pain" brought on by her health condition.

The 49 year old presenter of BBC Breakfast was diagnosed in 2022 with adenomyosis, a condition characterised by the lining of the uterus invading the womb's muscle. This can lead to pelvic pain and heavy bleeding during menstrual cycles among other symptoms, reports the Daily Star.

Opening up about her experience, Naga told Metro: "I have done all my life: through my GCSEs, through my A-Levels, through my degree, and every job I had. No one wants to be seen as weak. I don't think that now."

Fortunately, since her diagnosis and receiving appropriate treatment, she reports that her condition is more manageable. She also expressed no concern about it affecting her standing at work.

Naga explained that her menopause symptoms were so severe that she considered quitting her job.

"It's much more manageable and because I've spoken so publicly about it if I really am struggling, I can say "I'm struggling", and I know the people I need to say that to will recognise that I only say it when I really am. I don't worry about being seen as someone who is using it as an excuse to not work."

She added that she used to wake up every four hours to change her sanitary products due to heavy bleeding.

"I wouldn't sleep because I would have to set an alarm say for two in the morning, every four hours, and I would be lying on a towel and I'd have a heavy sanitary towel and a super plus tampon in and I'd set an alarm to change."
