Manchester Monarchs to honor LA Kings, wear infamous Burger King jerseys (Photos)

Back in August, the AHL's Manchester Monarchs presented an online poll asking fans to vote on a classic Los Angeles Kings jersey the team should wear for a game this season.

Well, we may have gotten involved and the results will be glorious. So, so glorious.

On Saturday night, the Monarchs will host the Portland Pirates and won't be wearing their usual jerseys. For "Los Angeles Kings Night," the Monarchs will go deep into the history of their parent club and wear a version of the infamous Burger King jerseys:

Tanner Pearson will never wear a more beautiful jersey in his career.

Sadly, our dream of the Kings wearing the Burger King jerseys for their Stadium Series game against a Wild Wing-wearing Anaheim Ducks team won't come true. But this is a nice consolation.

The game-used and game-issued jerseys will be autographed and will be up for auction on eBay with all proceeds benefiting the Monarchs Care Foundation.
