NHL Three Stars: Price, Habs stop Kings; Panthers win in shoot-out; Fasth yells at Oilers

No. 1 Star: Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens

The Habs netminder made 44 saves in a 6-2 victory against the Los Angeles Kings.

No. 2 Star: Marc-Andre Fleury, Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins were Sid-less, but they did get back Patric Hornqvist and Kris Letang; the latter of whom played 27:16. Flower stopped 26 shots in Pittsburgh's 3-1 win over Calgary. He went old school poke check save on Paul Byron's breakaway.

No. 3 Star: Vincent Trocheck, Florida Panthers

The Panthers are a fun team to watch. They took a physical game with the Red Wings all the way to the shoot-out where the Cats won. Trocheck's goal wasn't the clincher, but it was the prettiest.

Honorable Mention: Anaheim win their sixth straight with help from Kyle Palmieri and Ryan Getzlaf who scored within 51-seconds of the start of the second period ... Tiny Ducks d-man Sami Vatanen added a goal and an assist to his new career high in points in the 4-2 win against Edmonton ... Jiri Sekac pours salt in the wounds of LA with this nifty spin-o-rama goal:

... Gustav Nyquist has a goal for your consideration as well ...

Did You Know?

Dishonorable Mention: Detroit's Stephen Weiss suffered another injury, a separated shoulder, against Florida ... Simon Despres leveled Ladislav Smid with a headshot; supplementary discipline possible ... Viktor Fasth got the hook after letting in 3 goals on 11 shots. He was not happy with his teammates ...

... I don't think Fasth is speaking Swedish ... Martin Jones got the nod for the Kings. He allowed 6 goals on 20 shots ... Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar were both minus-3.
