Wayne Gretzky recalls ‘Waikiki Hockey,’ trade from Edmonton on Conan O’Brien (Video)

Now that Wayne Gretzky is back in the NHL family after the league made him whole following the end of his tenure with the Phoenix Coyotes and the team's bankruptcy, he's free to help in the promotion department, like Saturday's Stadium Series game between the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings.

Appearing on Conan Thursday night, Gretzky not only helped to spread the word about the game, but also talked about his famous 1989 appearance on Saturday Night Live, which gave us one of the best skits of all-time: "Waikiki Hockey":

Gretzky played bus boy Chad at a Hawaiian restaurant who fills in as the entertainment for the night and sings the now famous tune:

"I slipped the puck across the goal line
the crowd went crazy and roared.
But when my baby kissed me and held me in my arms
I knew that I had finally scored."

Now that's he's buddy-buddy with the NHL again, it probably wouldn't hurt to have another go on SNL, right?
