NFL player surprises teen with cancer by asking her to prom

Prom season is in full swing and “promposals” are all the rage on the Internet, but this latest might bring a tear to your eye.

Carrying a large bouquet of red roses, Jacksonville Jaguars player Sen’Derrick Marks asked an 18-year-old cancer patient, Khameyea Jennings, to her prom.

Marks surprised Jennings in her hospital room at Wolfson Children’s Hospital to pop the big promposal question — and don’t worry, he cleared it with her mom first.

“I heard you had a prom this weekend, and I wanted to know if I can take you to prom,” Marks asked her.

A very shocked Jennings said yes!

Marks’ surprise visit was part of Dreams Come True, a program that helps children and teens in Florida who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
