Afridi says senior player should either step up or step down post T20 debacle

Karachi, April 27 (ANI): In the wake of the team's dismal performance during the sole T20 International match played between Pakistan and Bangladesh, T20 captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi has said that senior members of the cricket team should either step up their game or call it quits in order to give a chance to budding players. Following an unimpressive performance during the World Cup, Afridi offered to retire from all formats of the game, saying he did not want to be a "burden" for the team, reported the Dawn. The 34-year-old recently announced his retirement from ODIs as Pakistan lost the 2015 World Cup quarter-finals against Australia. (ANI)
