Bellator Gets Injunction; ‘Rampage’ Jackson Out of UFC 186 Co-Main Event
New Jersey Superior Court Judge Karen L. Suter granted Bellator MMA a temporary injunction on Tuesday, preventing Quinton Jackson from fighting in the UFC 186 co-main event against Fabio Maldonado on April 25.
Jackson broke his contract with Bellator in December, believing that he was within his rights to cancel his contract and re-sign with the UFC, accusing Bellator of breaching their agreement.
Bellator president Scott Coker vowed that the Viacom-owned fight promotion would fight in court to protect its interests. Bellator filed suit on March 4, alleging that Jackson breached his contract with the organization.

“We are pleased by the judge’s ruling and look forward to having ‘Rampage’ fight for Bellator again soon,” read a Bellator statement released following today's ruling.
The two sides will now make their cases in court to settle their contractual dispute.
