Buying London: meet the agents of Netflix's hottest new property show

Trading off the runaway success of Selling Sunset, Netflix’s property empire is set to expand to the capital this month with the release of Buying London.

Packed with similar amounts of fabulous clothing, high drama, office politics and ridiculous pads as its American counterpart, the reality show promises to take us behind the scenes of luxury estate agency DDRE, which is helmed by ‘propfluencer’ mogul Daniel Daggers.

And it’s a chance, of course, to have a gander at some of the most expensive properties in and around London, as Daggers’ team of elite and glamorous agents set about selling them to the rich and famous from all around the world.

But who is starring in the series? We take a deep dive into the DDRE agents...

Daniel Daggers

The boss and founder of DDRE (Daniel Daggers Real Estate), Daggers has been in the property game for 25 years. He started his career selling studio flats and now he represents some of the capital’s most expensive properties, and buyers – and says he has sold £5bn worth of property to London’s elite over the course of his career. In fact, when working for previous firm Knight Frank, he sold 3 Carlton Gardens, one of London’s most expensive houses, to an American hedge fund manager for a reported £95m.

After leaving, he set up DDRE in 2020. Calling himself ‘Mr Super Prime’, he’s married to the job, which is set to cause drama when his close friendship with Lauren stirs jealousy.

Lauren Christy

(Netflix)

Originally from South Africa, Lauren now lives in London and has worked her way up the ladder over many years to become DDRE’s top agent. However, she likes to remind the others of it, too – which ruffles feathers in the office and causes tension when others start thinking her friendship with Daniel is leading to favouritism.

Reme Nicole

 (Netflix)
(Netflix)

Reme is the youngest agent at DDRE: just 21 years old, she’s very much still in training. Desperate to impress Daniel, who calls her his “rough diamond”, Reme’s is keen to secure some high-earning properties to prove herself in the office. But when she gets caught up in the office feud, will she manage to steer her way to success?

Oliver Hamilton

 (Netflix)
(Netflix)

Former high society playboy Oli is a self-described “posho” who uses his connections to help sell and secure the best houses in London. After marrying Vivi, he’s settled down and now works at DDRE – but trouble is on the horizon when one of the agents starts making advances and he doesn’t seem to be able to tell her no.

Rosi Walden

 (Netflix)
(Netflix)

Local girl Rosi grew up in Holland Park and knows central London like the back of her hand. She’s cultivated a list of clients from around the world and is always around to offer advice to her colleagues – whether on their personal or work problems. But trouble starts brewing when she notices Lauren being handed the agency’s prime properties, sparking accusations of favouritism.

Rasa Bagdonaviciute

 (Netflix)
(Netflix)

Rasa has built her way up from a career in Mayfair casinos to a prime spot at DDRE. Well-connected to some of London’s biggest buyers, she’s also a magnet for drama and never shies away from confrontation, even with other agents in the office. Despite that, there’s also a vulnerable side to her which isn’t at first apparent.

Juliana Ardenius

 (Netflix)
(Netflix)

Juliana is another big presence in the office. Loud and self-assured, she works as the team’s interior designer, working on the properties to show off their best sides. She’s also very open about her emotional life, and her declarations of workplace crushes make things awkward between her and the other agents. But like Rasa, Juliana has a vulnerable side, and the series teases a shocking revelation about her past, which comes to the fore over the course of the season.

Selling Sunset airs on Netflix from May 22
