Dodger Montano's UFC Debut and Opponent is Now Official

The highly anticipated debut of Mexican fighter Augusto “Dodger” Montano is finally official.

UFC representatives on Friday announced that Montano would square off with Chris Heatherly in a welterweight showdown at UFC 180: Velasquez vs. Werdum on Nov. 15 in Mexico City. The bout will open up the main card on pay-per-view.

Montano is 13-1, winning all of his bouts by either knockout or submission. The only time he has ever gone to a decision is when he lost to former MFC middleweight champion Sam Alvey.

The Mexican fighter will debut against Heatherly (8-2) lost his Octagon debut, having been submitted by Ben Saunders at the recent UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Dos Anjos in Tulsa, Okla.
