Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has issued a four-word message as Jurgen Klopp steps down as LFC boss.

Klopp has been with the Reds since 2015, and has in that time has won seven trophies with the club - including a sixth European Cup and ending a 30-year wait to win the Premier League. It has been an emotional day as fans, players, and celebrities alike have said a fond farewell to the 56-year-old.

Carragher, who provided punditry for Sky Sports' coverage of today's LFC clash against Wolves, has now taken to social media to commemorate Klopp in his own way.

In a post on Instagram, Carragher shared a photo of himself and Klopp hugging, he simply said: "Thanks for the memories". Fans have been quick to respond as Jonathan said: "I'm so glad that Jurgen is a Red ... I'm in love with him and I feel fine."

@ricksterscale said: "There goes Jurgen Klopp. I must remember to thank him. What a manager. What a man." Mark said: "What a guy" and Laura said: "Thank you sir. May the rest of his life be the best of his life".

Phil said: "You were getting a bit choked up there and rightly so @23_carra"
