Misbah says 'batting woes' responsible for Pak's 'decline'

Islamabad, Sept 23 (ANI): Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has termed batting as the main culprit behind his team's gradual decline, and called for more efforts to seek solutions from the PCB and former cricketers. According to The Express Tribune, Misbah, who flew directly to India for the Champions League Twenty20 (CL T20) from Zimbabwe, returned home recently along with Faisalabad Wolves teammates Saeed Ajmal and Ehsan Adil. Pakistan ended the tour of Zimbabwe with a shock defeat in the second and final Test that deprived them of a series triumph, the report said. Misbah said that batting has been the weak area of the team for the last one year, adding that they had tried different combinations but the batsmen were still struggling. He also said that the team's youngsters need more exposure and they also need to play in leagues where they would get a chance to play with top foreign cricketers. (ANI)
