UFC Fight Night 48 Macao Fighter Bonuses: Bisping Leads Four Performance Bonus Winners

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to the Venetian in Macao, China, on Saturday for UFC Fight Night 48: Bisping vs. Le. After the event, UFC officials doled out post-fight awards that amount to $50,000 U.S. for each recipient.

Breaking from the usual one Fight of the Night and two Performance of the Night bonus format, UFC president Dana White awarded four Performance of the Night bonuses, which equates to the same $200,000 in total bonuses for the event.

Main event fighter Michael Bisping put on one of the best displays of his career, bloodying and bruising former Strikeforce champion Cung Le en route to a fourth-round stoppage. With the stoppage, Bisping earned one of the Performance of the Night awards.

The other winners included co-main eventer Tyron Woodley, who stunned the Stun Gun, Dong Hyun Kim, by dropping him to the mat and finishing him 61 seconds into the fight.

The preliminary card wasn’t left out of the post-fight awards with Japanese fighter Yuta Sasaki impressing with a 1:06 rear-naked-choke submission of Roland Delorme and Brazilian Alberto Mina stopping Shinsho Anzai via TKO stoppage.

Sasaki and Mina each earned one of the coveted $50,000 bonuses.
