UFC Fight Night 51 Weigh-in Results: Bigfoot Silva and Andrei Arlovski Make the Rematch Official

The UFC is at the Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil, on Saturday for UFC Fight Night 51: Bigfoot vs. Arlovski, but first, the fighters had to step on the scales on Friday to make their bouts official.

The card is headlined by a five-round non-title bout between rematching heavyweights Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and Andrei Arlovski.

Bigfoot is returning to the Octagon for the first time since December, when he and Mark Hunt fought to a draw in a fight that had people singing the praises of both men, calling it one of the best heavyweight fights in the history of the sport. That fight was marred when Bigfoot tested positive for an elevated Testosterone-to-Epitestosterone level. Bigfoot forfeited his portion of the Fight of the Night bonus and had the result changed to a no contest on his record.

Now, he returns to face Arlovski, whom he defeated via unanimous decision four years ago when the two were fighting under the Strikeforce banner.

Arlovski is a former UFC heavyweight champion, who is not only looking to exact revenge for the previous loss to Bigfoot, he's also trying to make the most of his current UFC tenure and earn a shot at the gold that once was around his waist. He is currently on a three-fight winning streak, including a split-decision victory over Brendan Schaub his Octagon return at UFC 174 in June.

“I feel very well and tomorrow night everyone is going to see a great victory,” said Bigfoot after stepping off the scale at 264 pounds. “I trained for everything, on the ground, standing up, it doesn't really matter where this fight goes, I'm coming out with a victory.”

Arlovski, at 248 pounds, was also lighter than Bigfoot with his words, saying, “I'm excited to fight in Brazil. Period.”
