UFC on Fox 8 Fills Up with Addition of Aaron Riley vs. Justin Salas

The UFC on Fox 8 fight card has filled up quickly. The latest addition is a lightweight battle between Aaron Riley and Justin Salas.

The bout was revealed on Tuesday night’s edition of UFC Tonight.

Despite being just 32 years of age, Riley (30-13-1) first set foot in the Octagon at UFC 37 in 2002. He’s fought in and out of the organization ever since. His current tenure is at six bouts (3-3) heading into UFC on Fox 8.

His most recent bout was a loss to TUF 13 winner Tony Ferguson, while all three of his recent victories came against fighters that are no longer with the UFC.

In short, Riley needs to get back on the winning track – and fast – if he wants to keep fighting in the Octagon.

By contrast, Salas (10-4) has only been fighting for the UFC since last year. He has fought twice in the Octagon, defeating Anton Kuivanen at UFC on Fuel TV 1 in his UFC debut before losing to Tim Means at UFC on FX 3 last summer.

He was supposed to have fought at UFC on FX 7, but had to withdraw from his bout with Edson Barboza due to an injury.

Riley and Salas will compete on the preliminary portion of the UFC on Fox 8 fight card on July 27 at KeyArena in Seattle.
