49-year-old bicyclist hit, killed by car at Sac State is identified

A 49-year-old man who was hit and killed by a vehicle while riding a bicycle at Sacramento State University has been identified. Charles Anthony Carlson, from Sacramento, was killed after being struck on State University Drive on Saturday, according to records from the Sacramento County Coroner. Sacramento police said they responded to the Guy West footbridge nearby just after 12:05 p.m. on Saturday to a report of the collision.
