'No, Not in the Pool!' Deer Goes for a Dip After Smashing Through New Jersey Home

A deer was seen darting directly toward a swimming pool after leaping through a window into a home in East Windsor, New Jersey.

Marc Twersky, who said he recorded this video on June 2, told Storyful he initially received a phone call from his grandmother urging him to rush home after a deer had broken into their residence.

In the video, the deer is seen darting straight into their swimming pool, much to the dismay of Twersky. He also included pictures of the extensive damage the deer, who was bleeding, had caused inside their home.

Twersky told NBC10 that after diving into their pool, “the deer got one hoof on the ladder when the animal control officers finally got a hold of the animal.”

Although the deer was bleeding, animal control officers reported that the creature appeared to be in fine shape and subsequently released it back into the wild, NBC10 said. Credit: Marc Twersky via Storyful
