Protester hauled off stage after ‘fascism’ warning

STORY: The Conservative lawmaker was addressing the National Conservatism conference in London when the unidentified man walked up to the podium and took over the microphone.

As soon as the protester uttered the word "fascism," organizers switched off the microphone and security removed him from the venue.

Shortly after, the Climate Change protest group Extinction Rebellion sent a Tweet claiming responsibility, saying it had sought to highlight the "fascist ideologies of senior cabinet members and MPs."
